| Yep, 100%.
There's a ton of uncertainty around DJI right now, and no one can say for sure what's gonna happen.
With the T100, all the major distributors and dealers can load up on parts now. If DJI says they are done shipping parts again, like they did this summer, then hopefully there's enough to float by for a year or 2.
My personal take, if DJI says they are done, then what's here is here. Which is why I think waiting to see how things shake out is the best move for anyone looking to buy a DJI. There's also battery concerns still, and I saw recently a user report of a handful of T100s catching fire in Australia cause the batteries got too hot.
If it's solely a gov ban on DJI, then parts and drones will still come in. Hell, that's even what's happening right now with the T100. Quite a few distributors are shipping them in in pieces from Mexico and Canada and assembling them in house. Some are getting through customs normally and legally, but DJI has had a ban of sorts at customs for about a year now.
Another possibility is that Trump will stop the DJI ban as a political stunt to gain favor and this whole mess goes away. | |
