Mid-Michigan
After reading most of the replies, my closest answer would be what ecil89 posted. Im on my 3rd year with my set-up. Im not young, but want to continue farming. Im pretty much by myself. Handling grain is a pita for me. I spent an awful lot of money on a very nice but smaller system (about 90,000 bu). Ease of in and ease of out was a very big consideration. My system works very well. It will make money, but I question the returns some guys mention. The dryer will definitely make you money. You will make money on your carry and basis. I think the return depends on your marketing prowess. The convenience for me is really valuable but it is an awful expensive convenience. And, they aren't maintenance free. I think the younger you are the more sense they make. For me, I just couldn't afford it before. Good luck.
