NW Iowa
Bins are tool, i'd rather not fill them if i can market and the grain dries down.
If you have to sit in line they are a great help.
With the new dump at the e plant that's not an issue here.
If you want to start earlier and catch basis they help.
I'm always starting at 26-28%. I'm also all corn.
It's going to cost you $.10 to dry and handle it. That's with 3 phase.
Most money i make is to market early and it dries down
and i can take direct out of the field.
One of these yrs we will get a fall that it's wet like 2009 was here.
They can make you big money and cost you big money.
I don't believe in paying storage.
Only you can make the decision for your operation.
Just remember big bins and deep pockets make poor marketers....
