Right now I can haul to the end user. Today was a 3 hour line. Hours are 7 to 4. So 2 loads a day. Monday through Friday.
I can lock in about a .26 profit delivering in June.
Or I can go local for a 35 cent discount under the end user. Roughly $400 a load to get back 2 hours quicker.
I have a paid for bin sitting there with space.
I still have a couple three days of corn to harvest.
High winds are in the forecast.
How much do you think those bins will make me?
The last time we had high winds put 50 bushel to the acre on the ground and my ground speed dropped from 4 down to 2.
One thing to consider also. How much under the end user are the local elevators, if you have to utilize them?
