An ethanol plant 5 miles away would be a perfect chance to get a hot corn basis bid for quantity. Whats the difference in basis from harvest to December? Also need to consider a carry in there for storage further into the future along with basis.
On farm storage isnt nearly as critical for me as it once was, as far as a harvest tool. As a marketing tool, it’s cost me quite a bit.
