It took a bit to gather the data but we made a spread sheet with expected trade in values, fuel usage and cost, avg repair costs, labor, and hours per field operation or hours per year. That gave us a clearer picture of depreciation cost per field operation and per field. Equipment values change over time but if was a starting place at least. Some things were close to Iowa State others not as much.
