Gaco costs,BUT one guy a bucket a brush and a peak hooked ladder runs darn cheap,,especially if it is yourself. No hurry,no rush,Take the tin off and you better have a crew, sunshine,no wind,no rain or snow for that week.Neighbor poo poohed the idea,,,just paid 45k to have his barn re tinned..just roof,,It will literally outlast the barn itself.

Well, I might have to somewhat disagree, but it was only a 30' x 50' shed. But, two Amish boys (20 & 21 years old), striped nailed on metal, change a couple of rotted purlins, put new steel on, one day start to finish, $4,000, labor and steel, two months ago. I realize 24' x 84' is a like 1 1/2 times bigger, but....................$45K must of been a big barn. Quote on a 48' x 72' x 20' pole barn is $62K from same crew.

A different Amish crew just put a standing seam steel roof on my house, just over a month ago, (>38 square with 11 valleys), for $27.5K. So, IDK how big a barn your neighbor has and maybe steel/labor is cheaper HERE.
