E ND | I would never tell another man what he should or shouldn't do on his own land so this comment isn't directed specifically at the OP but it's a shame the government spent the money to get that established (which probably had little environmental or habitat value until recently) only for the contract to expire and turn around and tear it all out.
With crop prices where they are, overproduction and the amount of CRP acres put back in production in the last 10 years it sure would be nice to see some of those tree rows stay.
