Subject: Metal Roof Coatings

Has anyone used Fibered Aluminum or similar roof coatings? I have an 84x24 pole building with a nailed on metal roof. The roof was galvanized not painted, which has worn off the roof and it's just rusty metal showing, not rusted through anywhere. Looks like new on the underside. It does have a few leaks but those look to be from loose nails or gasket problems. A neighbor coated one of his buildings roof a few years ago with a fibered aluminum product and think's it's great. Can the roof be pressure washed off and that stick? Need some sort of sanding or wire wheel prep? Does it work at all? Based on the coverage most of these products advertise it looks like I'd need around 10 buckets. $100 a bucket, $1000. Roughly 1/3rd of the cost of new metal for the roof. Although it would be more labor intensive to reroof the building is that a more longterm solution. More value for $ kinda deal?
