To me, getting a link to a facebook page, and then having to log in sucks. I just want to see the facebook page. I'd prefer a dedicated website, I think.
I would say use it all. If I was to go bigger I would consider a independant website aside facebook. I also use Nextdoor app. Nextdoor app is a local neighborhood app, but its free and it works also for advertising. I also use craigslist, not as popular anymore as facebook seems to have taken over more.
If your selling hard red wheat for baking could look at baking forums maybe some cheap advertisement, thats just a example
As a side note I am not a facebook fan, but it works for advertising for me. Most people compliment me on the sweet corn and tell others. Word of mouth has been my biggest advertisement, but have to start somewhere.
