Then why are there Iowa guys giving $385 in northern/nw MO for 175 aph dirt? Or 275 for 130 bushel land that they just shelled this week.
they did the math and made a profit, nothing wrong with storing in the field for December delivery, basis and board gains more than paid for that plan, plenty of the pretty boys finished up their 1,000 acres in October and put the combine away and started bragging about being done, running a combine over acres for an extra 45 days makes a lot more sense than just parking it in the shed and letting it continue to depreciate with no income. |
