nc ks | You weren't asking me, and I haven't darkened the door of farm credit or the fsa loan programs for decades, but I can call my independent banker and tell him what I want to borrow money for and he can say yes or no but he'll say yes and my wife can swing by the bank and sign and then bring the the forms home and I sign 3 places or so and she returns the papers but the money is already in the account from the moment she signed and we go on with life. For this priveledge I send them a balance sheet of my design with itemized supporting documents and my crop insurance summary once a year. They also drive through and substantiat my documents once a year. No other hoops or time wasted. Maybe farm credit is this easy after a relationship is established, but I am skeptical. I enjoy visiting with my bankers about business and any insights they have, but they are not on my decision making team. The only fsa exposure I have is checking into a farm grain storage loan. They sent me the paperwork and I looked at it for 5 minutes and then threw it in the trash.
