The lowest rates are usually the shortest terms. I'm sure it's a deep secret where that 5.1 loan was from but betting it wasn't Farm Credit. Maybe it varies in areas but here they are usually the highest.
They have dozens of competitive banks competing with them without jumping through all their ridiculous hoops.
Been with Farm Credit 55 years, always treated me very good. Borrowed for land, machinery and crops. Over all the years had several banks approached me for our loan business, when they got all done figuring out the details they were more expensive.
Always thought all states were like Wisconsin, some farmers get along great with Farm Credit and other farmers wouldn’t darken there door. Far as ridiculous hoops haven’t a clue what your talking about. |
