Yes, Chris, and the others, you are all correct, no one is forcing me to deal with Deere, and there ARE other options.
Maybe I am foolish, as some here claim.
But I choose to buy from Deere because I generally like Deere equipment, have excellent local service, and I like how Deere's technology is integrated and seamless...it just works.
It works better every year, and we get more out of it every year.
All those advantages as I see them still outweigh the downsides of having to pay more subscriptions now than we did in the beginning. That does not mean I can't complain to Deere about it, though.
And I am not willing to give up the advantages I perceive in having all the tech integrated in the same brand iron and technology.
Do you complain to Deere about it? Does anyone seem to listen?
I'm more curious than I am anything...they sure don't seem to be changing their business model for technology
