South cental Ohio | Depends on what type of surgery you get. I had the kind where I went in as an out patient, doc did his thing, and it was over in ten minutes. Something about the doctor just went in my wrist and cut a muscle or something which opened up the passage or whatever it does. I had immediate relief but I still think that my hand doesn't have the squeezing strength that it used to. One stich later and I was back driving a semi in a few hours... wasn't supposed to and not recommended by the doctor but it was in the middle of harvest season and the surgery didn't seem to bother me at all.
