NW IA | Depending on your destination, I agree with others. Highway 20 without question. However, if 90 is an option I'd rather go that way than 20. I've had I 90 all to myself at night. Just my opinion after many Chicago trips over the last ten years, 20 is getting busy by times.
Another qualifier, we have kids in Chicago and they have had to take 80 across to 29 to get to NWIA due to weather and road conditions.
