One could argue the biggest missed chess piece move at the end of the Cold War was not accepting Russia's request to join NATO. And perhaps an even bigger mistep was not dissolving NATO when the Soviet Union fell. If European and American leaders really cared about the West, they wouldn't be purposely destroying their own cultures through their actions.
