Cattle can eat raw beans.
Expensive protein source!


Why roast them, they have tripsin inhibitors and other detriments to feeding them raw, you also run in to feeding too much fat, we used to get beans that had half the fat removed for experimental purposes for Proctor and gamble, they were heated quite a bit in the process and made one of the best dairy supplements you could ever want. Expensive? relative to what??
