| I have cut a fair amount up to 17. If they are pretty much pod free, they are not a problem here.
I cut some earlier at around 17 and ran the fan 2 weeks or so . IF I turn a fan on I run it until the moisture is through or the crop is cold.
I cut some later year before last. They were fine. I ran the fan for a week or so until I figured they were cool enough. I ran the fan in the spring some, but not much.
I sent them to town in June and July. Top was a bit damp yet but kept Ok.
I some times get the hard bottom even if I do not run the fan.
