Youre talking apples and oranges when you mention CMR and RTCM for what youre wanting to do. Both of those protocols are for RTK corrections, not location data like you would need to utilize it as an external receiver. NMEA strings are the protocol for location data. That could potentially be done as long as youre not wanting to steer. For any steering system, Trimble needs to see their own protocol, TSIP.

NMEA is the generic protocol for location data, among other things. TSIP is Trimble's proprietary protocol.
