Ohio | Here’s a pic of mine. Finally got outside to get it for ya. I was gonna say it looks like you have the wrong piece coming off of the heater. Mine can with a piece and they I just 45* from that and then did 2 pieces of 3’ pipe and an end piece. The piece that connects to heats connects with a hose clamp and then the 45 slide in that and seals with the red oring and then u just bend those tabs so it can’t come apart. You don’t have to 45 right away. I just did cause that’s how my heater was hanging and I could get it out of the wall easily. Pretty slick. If u need more pics let me know.
