I actually answer lots of questions on here as long as there is a good reason to answer them.

Which question did you answer? I assume you mean this statement:

“Dismissing the Thomas Massie question tells me all I need to know. I would have too a few years back.”

Are you referring to that statement as an admission that you know you have been wrong before?

So you only answer questions on here if YOU think there is a good reason to answer them...... Talk about someone who doesn't think they are ever wrong... I have made many posts on here referring to the fact that I was fooled by the DC crowd.  There is never any reason to avoid any question about any subject.  Even on subjects that a person has no idea about, a simple I don't know will suffice as an answer.   Still waiting on the answer on Thomas Massie....

You actually just reinforced the reason I gave for not answering your question. I would just end up arguing needlessly with someone who doesn’t understand that it isn’t logical that not answering his question somehow means that I don’t think I am ever wrong.

Your question would be the equivalent of me saying do you know why Trump is the only one who can fix the DC swamp? When you can tell me that is when you will understand how DC works.

If I said that I would basically be saying that you will be wrong unless you reach the same conclusion as I did. I’d be excluding all other assessments as valid other than my own.

You think all I need to say is I don’t know? Ok. I don’t know what YOU BELIEVE. The only person that can answer your question in a way that you won’t start an argument is you yourself. That is the basic problem. So how about you quit expecting me to tell you what you think and just tell us yourself. It is pointless to attempt to answer your question.

Now another question. Did you know you were wrong before you knew you were wrong about DC? I think we both know the answer to that is no you did not know you were wrong at that time. Now apply that same concept to your current belief and give us an honest answer to how you would currently know if you are wrong now before you know you are wrong.

Just so you know that is not saying that you are right nor wrong. You are stuck on the concept of one of us had to be right. What if both of us are wrong? That situation is entirely possible. So let’s hypothetically say that you had just convinced me to believe what you believe. But you are wrong also. The end result would still be that we are both wrong. So, again, what would be the point of an argument that requires me to believe what you believe in order for it to end?

Had this conversation happened in the past, before you believe what you currently believe, and you used the same approach as you are now you would have been arguing with me over a point of view that you now believe to be false. You wouldn’t have known you were wrong before you knew you were wrong. There is nothing preventing that from happening right now either. What you have is a BELIEF that you are arguing as though it is an incontrovertible truth.

That is the underlying problem with myself answering your question. You require me to tell you what your belief is and you won’t accept anything else. When the dust settles there will likely be some truths and some falsehoods of whatever we BOTH currently believe. Neither of us will know what we are wrong about until we know we are wrong. It isn’t a complicated concept to understand.
