my dealer said that auto steer ready tractors with ILS use a flow meter style WAS. So if you are steeing ISO it uses that like greenstar would. but to do a non-iso z2 system, which is my only option on my 2010, the ILS tractors have to have an actual WAS installed. The solid axles have a factory potentiometer that ag leader can tie in to and use.
