Subject: RE: the last hurrah for the farmer

back during the 1980s farm "crisis" the public`s view of farmers was Little House on the Prairie and Dukes of Hazzard. Today the public`s view of farmers is Larson Farms and Millennial Farmer and maybe Yellowstone, I`m not flaming the entertainment but showcasing getting a $1 million combine stuck in the mud when the public is having decisions on making this month`s mortgage on their modest $400,000 home doesn`tr generate the same sympathy as Boss Hogg impounding the General Lee or Pa Ingalls breaking his arm in the Minnesota winter. as long as the public has their tik tok on their I-phone 17 they probably don`t think a lot about their food pre-super market.

farmers got it good tax wise compared to the general public relatively (I could cite examples if needed) what i`m afraid is one day the public will see this paper wealth that farmers have will be as a fresh source of revenue that can tapped into. as far as the bridge payments, arc/plc srpd payments recap being taken away, I don`t lose sleep. an area farm just sold for $15,000/acre yesterday for Pete sake.
