WCIN | I have CIH 7120 with the factory yield monitor in it. In the past, it's usually stayed within around 4% of the actual yield by scale tickets when tallied at the end of the season, and that is even without calibrating for multiple seasons.
I calibrated it to a specific corn variety last year, so I didn't think much about it. This year, the monitor is showing it was 12% off on the same variety, which is 3x normal. On the other variety of corn, it was 6% off which I can kind of live with.
I had one really big field with a lot of water damage, so crop flow was next to nothing in a lot of places. I'm assuming consistent crop flow is key to accurate data.
My problem is that this corn was in three different counties, so now going back through and trying to figure out how many bushels were in each county is pretty difficult.
County A had really good, consistent crop flow, as well as County B, but County C was pretty hit and miss on a couple of fields. Is it plausible that I can use my normal 4% on County A and County B and then give the rest to County C?
Just trying to report my bushels as good as I can so we can move on.
