I don’t want more technology. I want simplicity, reliability and affordability. Apparently I am I the minority.

Farms of much size and scale realize the margins are shrinking and basic and simple isn't going to keep a farm in business down the road. We utilize GPS but they still can't get it to work on the hills like it will work in flat country. Besides that we still utilize swath control for spraying, fertilizing, and seeding. We utilize yield monitors on combines to help with variable rate prescriptions leading to higher yields and better quality without even having to use more but re-appropriating where it can be better utilized increasing yields and quality and paying us to do that. Without technology so much is being left on the table and you are still running the same input costs of just applying a blanket field average of inputs.

Anyway technology is good if you are of size and scale to utilize it.
