Monroe City, MO

Bingo. The last bushel of grain sets the price for all the rest. The government is getting ready to send out 12B dollars soon. Projected carryout for this coming year is about 300 million bushels of beans and 2 billion bushels of corn. It would cost the government $1.5B to buy half the carryout of beans and $4B to buy half the carryout of corn. For less than half the expected bridge disaster payment that will come soon they could take half the carryout off the market, dump it in the ocean, and fix our price problem for a couple years.
