northeast ohio | Agree with the other responses which point out the limited value of a lightbar without steering assistance. We run several mid 70’s tractors with Trimble EZSteer systems. They are quite effective for tillage and OK for soybean planting. Several farmers in our area that work off farm jobs and run acreage in your range have added FMX and TMX displays with EZSteer or EZPilot steering because they can also add planter monitoring and / or section control to the system at a reasonable price.
If you are truly looking for a low cost starter system, I have a GFX350 with NAV900 unlocked to EZSteer / EZPilot listed in classifieds. Though the NAV500 can’t be unlocked to RTK, It does track more satellites than previous models, runs the current PIQ operating software and is more portable than larger displays with NAV900 receivers. I think it’s priced right as a package but open to removing the extra cables to lower the price if you are just getting started.
