| I get the idea, but I would go a bit newer and possibly change things on even that......................I got a '72 K-20 with a Inline/4spd in it. Put HEI on it, TBI, new intake, and headers, bigger radiator with fan shroud. Had a 4 barrel on it, but choke was a issue to run for some running it so the TBI went on, zero regrets with that change, it works awesome. We don't run it every day, but use the crap out of it. I wish I could buy a new one just like it, only with AC. It is reliable and tough and takes abuse and overloading. And unlike the newer trucks here, it is 4wd, still low enough to get in easy and work off the stake body without needing a crane.
