I’ve had a 180 Lincoln for a long time and always used the largest flux core wire it could run .035 I think. Definitely not as clean as gas, but more forgiving for “farmer” type repairs. Can do some pretty good work with nice clean metal. Also can stitch together some pretty ugly stuff when necessary. There is a place for a wire and a stick welder on a farm I would say.
