If I remember correctly you need to change the battery cables to 2- 12 volts parallel instead of in series to get 24V. I also always put the starter solenoid in between the key switch and starter solenoid. Fuel guage may or may not continue to work. My 4010 fuel guage kept working. 4020 did not. But that’s just getting the right combination of sender and guage to work together. It’s a nice improvement.
