North Central Iowa | Yeah, that help screen is confusing. RTCM is a correction format, I’m not sure under what particular unique situations that is a thing for a 500. The internal gps uses CMR for RTK corrections, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work with rtcm.
As far as external gps that already has the ability to track all the constellations, I don’t think the 500 can receive positioning coordinates from anything besides TSIP compatible receivers. My vague recollection is that there were models that at least had glonass. But I’m not a definitive resource on this, just going from memory on reading up on old manuals and on this site over the years. I never used an external receiver. After I quit using the 500s (still have kept one as an emergency backup), I jumped straight to new ag leader 7500s and incommand screens. That was a shockingly pleasant jump in technology, though pricey. | |
