Central ND | I'll break my silent stalking of the site over the past year and created an account to chime in on this.
Multiple customers have asked me the same thing, so I will give you the same advice I give them. If it seems I am talking slightly in circles in this post, I apologize, I am keeping some things close to my chest because it is not publicly available information even at the dealer level.
Even the newest Pro700 software (V40) doesn't have sprayer support, so if you currently have issues with your Pro700, I would contact AgExpress or another reputable 3rd party repair center.
I personally don't believe we will see sprayer software for the Pro700+ period at this point, if it happens it happens and I will freely admit I was wrong about it.
At this point, the only truly *good* monitor upgrade for a 30 series sprayer IMHO is putting in a Viper 4+, but that would be incompatible with your current autosteer solution. There are a few ways to go about it, but for many people it is cost prohibitive to replace the autosteer and maintain a single monitor solution, and still maintaining the Pro700 for guidance only doesn't solve anything, so then the question is how many years do you plan to keep this particular sprayer? If you can honestly say "I'll keep this one for at least 10 years", I would recommend replacing it with a Viper 4+ and having an experienced and KNOWLEDGEABLE precision person go over your needs and the solutions available for the autosteer. There are solutions both coming down the pipeline and some existing that are no longer readily accessible to people who do not have the experience with them to know about them.
If you plan to replace the sprayer at some point, your increased value going to a Raven system is negligible, and you absolutely will not recoup your investment.
As far as your question about the ability to swap back and forth between a Pro700 and Pro700+, that would be dependent on software versions that each requires to run a particular machine, and I wouldn't count on that as an option. | |
