Mostly looking in as an outsider, I'd appreciate consistency and rationality in emissions regulations. Some of us remember working on the original gas emissions systems, and they were crap. Since the mid 90's, we haven't even thought about gas engine emissions, they just work, and the engines work better than they ever did. (aside from self inflicted design errors). We're not going back to no emissions controls on gas vehicles, and we're not going back on diesels either. Even my '94 cummins has emissions controls on it and had to meet some standards. Remember those days when trucks left clouds of smoke with each gear change at the intersections? We're not going back to that.

If you think they won't go after deleted vehicles in the next administration, you're crazy. I'll bet they'll go after deleted pickups first, commercial on road next, farm and construction equipment after that. Can't say if they'll ever get to utility tractors or not. If I was building or buying them, gas seems awfully attractive compared to emissions hassles, especially in CA, NY, MN etc.
