I think this is the best answer.  There's plenty of farmers that store grain until the next year and then buy what they need at that time.  There probably are more buyers at the end of the year, I bought 2 tractors last December myself.  I could have waited, but I found what I wanted so bought them.  I didn't notice a price change in January.
