Wisconsin | It's happened to me twice also. Once was something minor that got listed twice, and I bought both, so no big deal either way, just a refund. Other time was Wisconsinsurplus sold me two out of three of "brand A" and another buyer bought the other "brand A" and two "brand B" but got there to pickup first and they let him have three "brand A" and I was stuck with walking away or taking two "brand B". I didn't push for compensation besides the difference in bid amounts, but it was not right, and a serious black mark on an otherwise very reputable auction company. If I was the other bidder, I would have wanted all three also, but the auction company should never do that without contacting the rightful owner.
You absolutely should at least ask for some of your costs, and put their name up here so others know how they operate, whether it was their mistake or just a mistake they should deal with. | |
