Subject: Welding outside can be tough

I really like wire feed but if you have any kind of wind the shielding gas issue is real, I tried flux core wire, constant battle to make feed. I would usually try to get a piece of ply wood placed to stop the wind in the welding area when welding on a piece of equipment that was outside which is most of the time. You certainly can do things with wire that you can't with stick, at least for a novice welder (ie weld on thin material) I don't weld much anymore but if my wire welder died, I would spend money to replace it as opposed to dragging the stick welder out.
