north central Ohio | lots of good you tube videos to watch on how to weld with one. Biggest thing is stuff has to be clean and it can’t be windy for the shielding gas. I have a hobart Ironman 230 which parts cross with a miller. Once you get used to setting them up (wire speed and voltage) for different thickness of steel and situations you will really like one. I still like my old lincoln ac for welding pig gates that are hard to clean up or when something needs welded on top of a grain bin you can quickly run long leads up to get the job done. For repair and fabrication in the shop they are great. Think first project I did with mine saved enough to almost pay for the welder this was 15 years ago so very well payed for now. | |
