That's interesting because I looked at that second lot earlier today, interested in the large pulleys, and decided the drive wasn't worth it so I didn't bid. I'm glad I didn't, you would have got there sooner than me and got my stuff. haha.
I would have expected Zielsdorf to do better than just say sorry when its their mistake that cost you time and gas. That sucks, especially given the weather and road conditions today.
I got NOTHING but my check back. And an apology.
I don’t think it is ZD’s fault. First one was new firearm at FFL *NOT BENSON one*. I had paid, but was going to be out of state. I had contacted both ZD, and FFL *again not Mikes* that ÎF I got bid I would pay IMMEDIATELY Á but not be there to pick up until weeks later. Both agreed that was fine. I won, paid by check over phone. Went to pick up. Did 4473…. Picked up rifle. But when I got home I realized it was different in 4 MINOR ways. Went back to FFL. He admitted it was not gun listed. Figured an employee showed it to customer, not noticing SOLD tag. So they substituted same brand, caliber, different but comparable scope, stock, I forget. So 100% NOT ZD’s fault.
This time they took pics over couple days. Stuff got moved, photographed Á second time. I did not catch it was not 2nd same lot. I just thought similar.
I suppose I should have demanded stuff off the pallet in my lot pic as well. Let next guy get upset. But I just was done by time figured out. I wish I had bid more on 2nd lot.
They have been easy to work with. If I am unable to make pickup on loading days at their permanent auction site. I call, pay by phone they have been fine me getting it later. “It’s just not worth the drive when I will by near your location in 3 days”. They are rather known for IMO unbelievable number of lots at auctions for small town. As in I need to take breaks looking thru items, mark anything mildly interesting. Then I have +200 my items. Trim down to 200. By day of auction under 100 *not counting duplicates* there must be at least a dozen of +5 groups new fluid tanks. 3000 gallon, 2500, 2300, 2000, 1500, 1000, 250…
But first one 100% gun shop that went out of business. This one slightly their fault. But I did not catch identical items. I knew similar
Why I edited out auction company name. Not totally their fault as items at farm likely rearranged by those helping move stuff for storm from outside, inside HUGE livestock shed.
