Your rims are 7" wide. The rim is 2/3 the width of a 265 tire already. Personally, I'd prefer to not go below that 2/3 figure, but other folks have done so without much issue.
Why are you wanting wider tires? Is flotation in soft fields that much of a concern? With practically everything else, narrower tires are better.
