RE: "but the world has pretty much moved on to GNSS"

I've not found info detailing how accurate GNSS is....GNSS vs RTK accuracy wise.

GNSS and RTK are terms used to describe two different things

GNSS means a receiver can talk to all available satellites (USA satellites, Russian satellites, European satellites and Chinese satellites) Early guidance systems typically only talked to US satellites. Then you could buy a "Glonass unlock" so it could also be made to talk to Russian satellites.

If you have a GNSS receiver the accuracy will depend on the correction service you are using. You can get lower accuracy corrections like Omnistar VBS, mid grade like Range point RTX, or premium accuracy with RTK.

RTK is a correction service. It typically uses the closest reference station to give the best accuracy. Modern systems pair an RTK correction with a GNSS receiver for maximum satellite availability. If you bought an old RTK system like an EZ Guide 500 with an RTK unlock you would get the 1" accuracy of RTK, but using an old receiver that could only talk to US satellites you would more quickly loose signal along buildings and tree lines.

Basically the summary statement would be a GNSS receiver is top of the line for satellite availability and RTK is the top of the line for correction services.
