My reasons ?
Deer don’t wait for the driver to flip the switch.
Get on a busy road, and be ready for people in a hurry to cut in front of you, then brake to make a turn waiting for on coming traffic to clear. Or put their signal and brakes on at the same time.

Can’t plan for what MIGHT happen.
