Different method - but you have achieved the desired result.
I commented to our local computer shop owner, that turning notifications off had "Cured my problem" - which was a pop up wanting me - no demanding! -I sign up with McAfee anti virus, as my subscription had expired.   The subscription I had never had!
His comment was that that pop up will be lurking in the background.
My response - ??So what!!

A question - where did McAfee find my computer?  As I said the 'intrusion' was only on my home Win 11 Nuk.
