KY | I was watching live yesterday as he said it. For once, he sounded like he had some sense about something many would think he knew nothing about. He even mentioned that at one point during a major project he had going on before his first term, he had instructed his people to buy older equipment for the project that didn't have all that "environmental crap" on it as they had been missing deadlines or having to bring in redundant equipment due to the downtime from emissions issues with equipment on a previous project. His words yesterday were that it needs to go completely, and that the manufacturers must drop the cost accordingly, not just continue to charge for the equipment that will no longer be installed. I understood it to apply to everything across the board, from Ag to construction and hopefully vehicles as well. Of course, there's more to it than saying it during a roundtable and manufacturers stop putting it on today... but hopefully this gets put through. |
