Clearly I somehow missed the part about being indoors.

Also, when you say outdoors, you need to be at least a couple of hundred feet away from buildings. The longer a receiver has been without a signal or the further it's been moved since it's last signal (ex: came from another country), the longer it will take to acquire a signal. The almanac can get out of date, but will update itself

Take it way out away from structures and leave it powered on for at least an hour. If that doesn't work, get your dealer to do a 180 reset and take it outside for at least another hour.
