cotton880 - 12/7/2025 10:35 So I I bought a new to me 17 model 8245r. It has the 4600 v1 processor. Wondering besides adding future functionality like turn automation etc are there any other benefits? Is the v2 processor faster and less buggy. I already have another 19 model 8245 and r4038 sprayer that have the v2 processor and they seem a lot snappier, kinda like a computer with more ram. I did do a factory reset and downloaded the latest software on the 17 model with the v1 and it seemed to speed it, but is still kinda glitchy and disappointing. If anybody has done it recently what did it cost you to upgrade? I’m guessing 3k by the time I buy the processor and pay them to move activations and install. TIA

v2 is the way to go 100% unless you want to jump to a G5 command center. Should have been $850 or so for the server and then a tech needs to do software and machine PIN matching etc. I'd think well under $2k total. Problem is I think JD ended new sales of those servers so you'll need to find one soon or dealer with new old stock
