IA/MN/WI | Nitrogen efficiency products are great, but Nserve really doesn't really offer protection that should impact your nitrogen in season. It retards conversion to nitrate right. But it only works for 6-8weeks when the soil is above freezing, so theoretically it helps for 3-5 weeks in the fall and the same in the spring. By the time its effects have worn off we haven't even seen our first major rain event typically, and the corn is somewhere between VE-V2. I just don't think this particular product is going to be the saving grace. There are some other options for anhydrous stabilizers that can provide extended protection and will protect nitrate in addition to ammonium. Either way, I think spring UAN with ATS beats fall NH3+Nserve. | |
