Travel days always suck in my opinion.
From our house we get up at 12:30 am, get to the Tulsa airport by about 4 am. Then get to Bonaire mid afternoon. By the time we get our luggage in the room, eat a little supper, say hi to friends we see almost every year and get to our room for a shower and relax it is about 8 or 9 pm. So about 20 hours awake other than what we can nap on the plane. Hard to not be a bit cranky.
When we went to Indonesia it was over 24 hours. Ugggggg. I would go back there every year if not for the long flight and connections. Almost too much for this 71 year old.
We are less than 2 hours from Bismarck. When we have to fly, we stay in Bis the night before. Get down there by 5-6 pm usually, have supper, try to be in bed by 10. This is for week-long trips. If it was longer, we'd just find someone to drive us down. |
