Crop removes X so need to replace X. This is reality. The other things you see some post? Well I've pulled many soil samples over the past 40 years on 5 to 10,000 acres per year so I know BS when I see it. And thats not base saturation...
I can also add that basically all of our ground is cash rented. We take care of it since we've had it long term and plan to continue farming it if possible well into what others consider retirement time. Same reason we notill, use covers and have been going down the "soil health" path. Take care of the soil and it takes care of you. And leave it better for the future.
