NC IL | Working on a Starfire 6000. Used it for planting in the spring on RTK, but when moved to the combine in the fall, it won't find an SF1 signal (not using RTK for harvest). Swapped a Starfire 3000 in it's place for harvest, no issues. The 6000 worked fine on SF1 previously.
I have it in my office near the window on a desk harness. It's plugged into a G5 display. I've updated both the G5 display and the 6000 to the latest firmware (25.3 and 4.50H, respectively).
It is set to SF1 correction mode. RTK is off. It is SF1, SF3 ready, RTK ready but no SF3 subscription. It has faults 841.31 for GPS position degradation and 522394.13 for calibrate the TCM. Both faults seem to just be telling me what I already know.
Same issue still, it receives a GPS signal but never gets to SF1 (says 3D none). The latitude and longitude it's reporting match my location exactly (northeastern Illinois).
Currently, the GPS sky plot shows it tracking 14 satellites (13 velocity solution, 12 position solution), with 8 of them "green" but a status of OK and not OK SF1. PDOP is 1.6. Corrections age is either -- (dashes) or counting up to some large number (as in 800 seconds and increasing).
The Starfire sky plot shows 3 satellites, 2 red and 1 green.
I removed the RTK radio from the globe, same issue.
I looked through the diagnostic addresses listed in the operator's manual via the G5 display, not sure what is "good" in most cases but at least I can see them.
Next step is going to be talking the local dealer AMS rep but wondered if anyone here has ran into this. It feels (to me at least) like some kind of software issue but no idea what. | |
